Bed and Breakfast Accademia no longer exists, but was a B&B located in Bergamo, a city in the Italian region of Lombardy, about 45 kilometers east of Milan. It was located between 2 beautiful city areas of Santa Caterina and San Tommaso and about 5 minutes’ walk from Città Alta, the oldest and upper part of Bergamo.

Bergamo consists of 2 parts: Città Alta (high city), the higher situated beautiful old historic center with a beautiful view of the surroundings and the lower Città Bassa (low city), where you will find mainly shops, cafés and restaurants.

Both parts are connected by stone stairs, via the Funicolare, a cable car that goes through the fortress wall and by car of course, there are parking spaces available.

From the B&B you could walk to the city center in 15 minutes, for example via the Scarletta di Via della Noca, an old stone staircase to Porta Sant’Agostino and its medieval building.
Historical buildings, churches, parks and museums were found in the area.

Approximately 1 km to the east via Via Santa Caterina, you found works of art and many nice antique and second-hand shops.
